Competition events with small autonomous robotic vehicles

The rule for our competitions is "keep it simple, keep it small" in regards to logistics, equipment, set-up time, and funding." Simple though our tournaments are, the strategic thinking and subsequent programming to realize that strategy are very, very, challenging.
With each competition, competitors only know the general rules for which to prepare thier vehicles. The details are unveiled at the event, giving cometitors only 20 to 30 minutes to come up with a winning strategy and to modify their programs and download them onto their microcontrollers.
